Numerical Modeling of Pull-Out Experiments on Assembly of Aluminum Rods Using DEM
摘要
In this study, pull-out experiments were conducted on a steel strip reinforcement against an aluminum rod assembly, and a numerical model was developed to simulate the experiments and to reproduce the pull-out behavior of the reinforcement. In addition, to improve the reproducibility of the numerical model, angle of repose experiments and simulations were performed, using the discrete element method with reference to model experiments and analytical models from previous studies, to obtain an appropriate coefficient of friction between particles. The contact force was measured using the improved numerical model, and the relationship between the contact force and the pull-out resistance was investigated.
