Shallow Foundation Design Using Dynamic Cone Penetrometer and Taking into Account Liquefaction Aspect
摘要
This paper presents an application of shallow foundation design with dynamic cone penetrometer, including assessment of bearing capacity. It also presents the calibration of the load-transfer curves obtained from the new generation version of dynamic cone penetrometer test (DCPT) devices and the load-settlement curves of footings partly inspired from the load settlement curve approach. The simplified hyperbolic model used for fitting the experimental curves is highlighted based on numerous in situ tests carried out on different sites. A study, in its early stages, of soil liquefaction assessment is also presented. The results show the technical and practical feasibility of the method.
