摘要

To effectively improve economic growth while minimizing the environmental impact, the application of a novel substructure monolithic steel structure of pile–pier (MSSPP) has been studied in Vietnam. The structure comprises a steel pipe pile filled with concrete to create composite structures, offering cost-effectiveness and expedited construction. This study highlights the advantages of MSSPP compared to bored piles with a diameter of 1.8 m. By leveraging the effectiveness of the composite pile, MSSPP allows for a reduced steel pipe pile diameter of 1.5 m. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the design process, including model design, verification methods for pile bearing capacity and pile body capacity. Additionally, the profitability of MSSPP in terms of rapid construction is estimated based on the construction technology employed, offering insights compared to bored piles.
