摘要

Highway construction is being carried out for Cisumdawu Toll Road in Indonesia. The constructions require massive excavation on volcanic soils such as tuff and volcanic breccia which have triggered a number of slope failures. This paper aims to investigate the effect of K0 to the stability of slope. The investigation is carried out by conducting a number of boreholes and laboratory tests in order to determine soil layering and properties. Pressuremeter tests are also carried to determine the in situ K0 value of the tuff soil. Numerical model will then be carried out in order to determine the effect of K0 on the stability of the slope for both short term and long term conditions.
