Effect of Fiber Material on Cyclic Behavior of Liquefied Stabilized Soil Under Cyclic Loading
摘要
Liquefied stabilized soil (LSS) is a cement-treated soil categorized as a slurry pre-mixed soil in Japan, and it is commonly employed as one of the effective uses for excavated soil. This study conducted various Consolidated–Undrained triaxial cyclic tests with stress amplitude variation on LSS with 10 kg/m3 fiber content and without fiber cured 28 days in the laboratory to research the influence of fiber on cyclic behavior of LSS under cyclic loading. Based on the test results, the liquefaction phenomena do not occur on the LSS in both with fiber and without fiber. When compared to LSS with fiber, LSS without fiber has a lower compression strength. By adding fiber, the cyclic shear strength improves significantly and more resistant against to deformation when increasing cyclic shear stress level. Unreinforced LSS has far lower failure envelopes than reinforced LSS and required a lower number of cycles for failure.
