An Optimized Hybrid Mechanism to Prevent Road Accidents in VANETs Using SVM and ANN

Identifying the major factors associated with a road and traffic accident is one of the primary goals of accident data analysis. The key contributing variables to accident severity include drivers, the road environment, the vehicle and accident characteristics. The goal of this research paper is to come up with a reliable mechanism for preventing road accidents. This was done using the Artificial Bee Colony optimization strategy for cluster head selection as well as the hybridization of the Support Vector Machine and Artificial Neural Network algorithms for authenticated vehicle categorization using the clustering concept. To compute the proposed work effectiveness, computing measurements such as Packet Delivery Ratio, Throughput and Delay are used.
