Advent of Frugal Innovations

Frugal innovations are all the rage (Tiwari and Herstatt 2012; Rao 2013; Knorringa et al. 2016; Prabhu 2017; Miesler et al. 2020). Their advent is mainly attributed to India, followed by China and, subsequently found their way into Western management principles (Economist 2010).
