Distal Femur Fractures and Periprosthetic Fractures around Distal Femur
摘要
Distal femoral fractures make up 4–6% of all osteoporotic femoral fractures [1]. Such fractures are associated with high morbidity and mortality. Studies showed that the mortality of elderly patients after distal femur fractures after at 6 months and 1 year were 17% and 30%, respectively [2, 3]. Similar to geriatric hip fractures, early surgical intervention of osteoporotic distal femur fractures can reduce both mortality and morbidity [4, 5].
