First, (Franklin, Communications in Statistics—Theory and Methods 18:489–505, 1989) RRT is based on SRSWR, but the RRs from sampled persons are gathered by requesting them to draw observations from specified distributions of two different kinds, one to be chosen if the person bears \(A\) or from other if he/she bears \(A^{c}\) as in (Kuk, Biometrika 77:436–438, 1990). How optional RRs are to be drawn are discussed by others to be selectively covered below. Moment estimators for \(\theta\) , the proportion of people bearing \(A\) are studied by various researchers. But, in addition, sensitivity level estimation of items of enquiry is also studied by various authors. Also, extension to general sampling schemes is implemented by various researchers as are to be briefly illustrated.
