摘要

Warner J Am Statist Assoc 60:63–69 (1965) is the pioneer of the randomized response (RR) technique (RRT) which is used in the situation of sensitive and stigmatizing issues. There have been several extensions to this RR technique. An issue often raised with the RR technique is that some respondents are more willing to answer directly rather than their response to compulsory RR because the perception of sensitivity is not the same for every person. This is particularly true when studies are based on political party affiliation or avenues of savings. For this reason, a new RR technique, called optional randomized response (ORR) technique (ORRT) was developed.
