Biofuel: Generations, Current Status, Sustainability Impact, Feedstock, and Production Technologies
摘要
Entire world is moving towards discovering sustainable fossil fuel substitutes. One such solution to several issues, which might involve emissions, the depletion of finite resources, dependency on unreliable foreign suppliers, and the reduction of carbon emissions, is biofuel. Using biofuel as a vehicle fuel boosts energy security, enhances the environment and air quality, and offers safety advantages. With the advancement of biofuel development from food crops, biofuels serve as a link between the rural and electricity industries. This chapter appraises the generations of biofuel, its current state of development, sustainability, feedstock, and production technology. The United States of America and Brazil are the two nations that lead the globe in biofuel production. More government initiatives for biofuel production are urgently needed to strengthen the country's economic and future energy needs.
