Hardware Realization of Heart Rate Analyzer Using Arduino and LabVIEW

The heart comprises the pump, blood vessels, veins, capillaries, and the primary fluid, blood, and the blood flows from the heart to the organs and back to heart in a wavelike motion. This wavelike motion can be detected using the photoplethysmogram (PPG) method. Analyzing the PPG and its derivative is extremely useful for early prediction of the heart circumstances such as atherosclerosis in which plaque builds up on the inside walls of your arteries. Three different parameters like crest time, delta time, and the b/a ratio are derived from PPG signals. N–N interval graph, successive N–N interval differences graph, the Poincaré plot, and frequency domain power spectrum graph are obtained, showing the heart concentration points. In this project, the sensor module is used to collect that points with specified sampling to analyze heart circumstances early by using enhanced tool LabVIEW™.
