Steganalysis on Stego Attack Made on WebP Using LSB Steganography

Steganalysis is the process of identifying the “covered writing” in such a way that the mutation of an image is not discernible. The paper discusses the steganalysis processes on two image formats: a Lossless Bitmap image file (BMP) and a lossy compression technique web picture (WebP). The main aim of this paper is to attack and analyze the web picture (WebP) file formats against BMP. The file format WebP discussed in this research is mostly supported in web browsers and mobile phones and it is widely used nowadays to reduce the storage capacity of the webpages. The least significant bit (LSB) of the pixels is measured to hide the text on the WebP and BMP formats and the performance is measured using different metrics. The proposed approach produces 100% recovery of the hidden text inside an image with maximum payload capacity.
