Measuring Individual Readiness for Change: The Role of Planfulness and Learning Through Experimentation
摘要
Readiness and human flexibility have become driving forces to survive in the VUCAvolatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world. Based on change readiness theoryChange readiness theory, the purpose of the present chapter is to investigate the mediating role of learning through experimentationLearning through Experimentation between planfulnessPlanfulness and readiness for changeReadiness for change. The sample was collected from 270 full-time employees working in the manufacturing and IT service industries in North India. Structural equation modeling and regression analysis indicated that the intervening variable, i.e., learning through experimentationLearning through Experimentation mediates the impact of planfulness on readiness for changeReadiness for change. Theoretically, the present chapter contributes to change readiness scholarship, as little attention has been given to testing the association between planfulnessPlanfulness and readiness for change empirically. Practically, the present chapter provides insights for the change agents who continuously strive to bring successful change in the organization.
