Blockchain Integrated Pharmaceutical Cold Chain: An Adoption Perspective

A complex and sensitive chain needs to be appropriately maintained to manage public health and people's lives. This is especially true of the cold pharmaceutical chain. The primary objective of this study is to explain how blockchain adaption might meet a pharmaceutical cold chain's requirements. A comprehensive technological adoption model, partial least square structural equation modeling, and a quantitative cross-sectional survey approach were utilized to identify stakeholder adoption intentions toward a blockchain-enabled cold supply chain. This study provides evidence that blockchain technology has the potential to support the objectives of the cold pharmaceutical chain.
