Conclusion

The primary goal of this study was to analyze the many facets of the Swat Valley rehabilitationRehabilitation programPrograms and to design a comprehensive rehabilitation plan in a controlled settingControlled setting. The researcher assessed the level of reintegrationReintegration of ex-combatants into societySociety by using it as one of the main indicators in studying rehabilitation. The book concludes that rehabilitation is necessary for reintegration and vice versa. It also stated that when society is closed and the rehabilitation environment is controlled, reintegration is unsuccessful. To accomplish this, an alternative strategy, namely a community-based approach, must be used. This community-based approach is named as “restorative jargaRestorative Jarga” in Pashtun societySociety and is based on restorative justiceRestorative justice (RJ) ideas.
