The Practice of Computer Basic Course Teaching for the Training of New Engineering Talents

摘要

With the rapid development of emerging information technology, the cultivation of compound application-oriented talents is indispensable for the cultivation of talents in colleges. Computer application ability and computational thinking have become the basic abilities possessed by high-level talents in various disciplines. The education of computer in universities is one of the imperative pathways to cultivate college students’ information literacy. Therefore, by means of the investigations based on the needs of the enterprises, the status quo of teaching, as well as the status of students, the main issues existing in general computer education during the development of new engineering are analyzed. According to the characteristics of application-oriented universities, combined with the requirements of talent training and the current situation of students, the usage of smart technology and the model of hierarchical teaching are proposed. Thereafter, it is further unraveled that formulating the curriculum system for general computer education, updating teaching contents, reforming teaching methods, highlighting capacity building, and cultivating cross-composite application-oriented talents with innovative ability are of vital importance.
