A Multi-working Mode Switching Technique on ARM Teaching Model Machine
摘要
The switching of 9 working modes of ARM CPU is one of the difficulties in designing ARM teaching model computer. Based on the independent research and development of ARMv7 architecture teaching model machine, this paper proposes a multi-work mode switching method leveraging the program state register heap structure and coercion conversion strategy. This method simulates the multi-mode switching technology in an ARM chip, provides the hardware foundation for the system-level interrupt design experiment of ARM model machine, and adds a new computer component design method to the traditional Principles of Computer Composition. Supporting by the remote self-learning innovative experiment with the small private online course (RSIE-SPOC) teaching method and self-made remote FPGA experimental platform, student satisfaction is over 90%, which lays the foundation for future systemic ability training of ARM architecture across multiple courses.
