Exploring the Establishment and Implementation of a Teaching Evaluation System Based on Value-Added Assessment

Value-added assessment (VAA) can effectively solve the existing problems of the excess of outcome-oriented evaluations and the lack of teaching evaluation feedback mechanisms in higher education, which plays an essential role in the innovative development of higher education. Taking the course of “Database Technology and Applications” as an example, this paper introduces a VAA concept into the teaching process, designs a VAA model and explores the performance of VAA in enhancing the quality of training information talent in higher education from three perspectives, i.e., students’ comprehensive development and professional and curriculum construction.
