Research on the Current Situation and Enhancement Strategies of Information Technology Teaching Ability of Teachers in Rural Teaching Points
摘要
In this study, a combination of literature research, surveys, interviews, and observation, as well as quantitative and qualitative analysis methods was used to investigate the differences in teaching ability between 10 rural teaching points and 6 urban central schools in Xian an Test Area. The study identified several problems in the development of our target teaching competencies, including the need for an improved IT environment in schools, the lack of specialized training for qualified teachers, the inadequate assessment system without incentives, the relatively poor initiative and continuity in information technology teaching program, the rather conservative teaching mode, and, the single professional development path and ineffective teaching training programs. Based on previous investigations and analyses, this study suggests that in order to improve the teaching ability of our targets, it is of vital importance to optimize their development environment, together with enhancing their motivation for development, providing multi-level teacher training, encouraging independent exploration, as well as guiding them to form a regular, professional development model that combines urban and rural areas under virtual situations.
