Effect of Bowed Stator Blade on Aerodynamic Performance of Low-Speed Single-Stage Axial Compressor
摘要
The circumferential bowing of stator blade is known to possess the ability to suppress the corner separation. In this study, the influences of the positive dihedral angle of the bowed stator blade on the aerodynamic performance of low-speed single-stage axial compressors were investigated numerically. The computed results clarified the following phenomena. The bowed stator has the effects to suppress the hub corner separation and the associated loss generation. The influence of the hub corner separation on the loss generation becomes stronger according to the decrease of the flow rate. As a result, the decrease of the flow rate improves the loss reduction effect by the bowed stator, and this trend is enhanced by the increase of the dihedral angle. Meanwhile, the excessive increase of the dihedral angle induces the additional loss generation by the formation of the separation at the blade pressure surface/endwall corner at high flow coefficient.
