摘要

Systems biology, as a multidisciplinary approach, seeks to understand biological systems as a whole, and this chapter showcases the significant contributions of computational and experimental approaches within the framework of systems biology for deciphering the complexity of diseases. Systems biology adopts a holistic perspective by considering the interactions and relationships among various components within a biological system. By leveraging computational approaches such as genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics, it is possible to gather comprehensive data on the molecular profiles and dynamics of diseases. These computational tools enable the identification of disease-associated biomarkers, the exploration of molecular pathways underlying disease pathogenesis, and the prediction of therapeutic responses. The integration of genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, modeling and simulation, network analysis, experimental approaches, and integrative analysis provides a comprehensive toolkit for researchers to unravel the intricacies of diseases and develop effective strategies for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
