New Approaches to Reliability Investigation of k-Out-of-n Models

This chapter aims to demonstrate some new approaches to investigation of k-out-of-n models. Section 5.1 considers the capabilities of decomposable semi-regenerative processes. In Sects. 5.2 and 5.3, some simulation methods and machine learning techniques are considered to assess the probabilistic and time characteristics of the reliability of repairable and non-repairable k-out-of-n models. The material of this chapter is based on papers [43, 44, 120].
