Reliability Characteristics for Repairable k-Out-of-n Model

In this chapter, we consider time-dependent and stationary characteristics of a reparable k-out-of-n models. The preliminaries 3.1 provides a definition of the types of system recovery after a complete failure, as well as additional notations. The time-dependent probabilities for two repair scenarios are considered in Sect. 3.2. The stationary characteristics in Sect. 3.3 are presented. This chapter is based on the papers [14, 42, 121]. According to the system’s structure, failed components and the whole system are repaired, and for this, there is only one facility. Dealing with the reparable system, we need to consider some procedures of system restoration after failure.
