Hardware Implementation of Moving Object Detection Using Background Subtraction Algorithm

Moving object detection is used in many applications such as surveillance and vehicle navigation. Detection of moving object is an important process. The authors proposed adaptive background subtraction for detection of moving object. The proposed architecture is designed and implemented on FPGA board Spartan 6[xc6scx45-2csg324) FPGA. The proposed technique uses less area 2001 LUTs at an operating frequency which is 154 MHz.
