Smart glasses for visually impaired refer to the system which assists the people facing difficulties of vision loss, covering cases from partial sight to totally blind. The proposed system helps visually challenged people to recognize the text and detect the objects in the environment using computer vision. Instead of using sensors which only detect the obstacles, the proposed system operates on vision input which also identifies the object. The device recognizes any text present and reads the text for the user after identification of an object. This will serve as an identification and detecting system, allowing people to complete challenging tasks such as reading, writing, walking as well as many other day-to-day tasks. The cost-effectiveness of the device makes it more accessible on the common grounds. Blind people can live independently with the help of this integrated module.
