摘要

This research study explores the dynamic landscape of Mixed Reality (MR) technologies, including Augmented Reality (AR) and Augmented Virtuality (AV), which merge the real world with 3D data for user interaction. However, the existing MR applications lack intuitive interaction techniques. To address this challenge, this study explores the convergence of Extended Reality (XR) with holographic projection. Here, a user interaction technique is developed by using real-time holographic projection, creating immersive interactions in the MR environment. The experiment focuses on the MR interior design application, where a joystick-driven see-through Head-Mounted Display (HMD) interfaces with a Z-Hologram projection display. This setup allows users with varied perspectives to participate. Additionally, this study discusses about the technique’s mechanics and evaluation results, by considering the potential of XR and holographic projection for developing intuitive MR interactions.
