Design of License Plate Recognition System Based on Machine Vision

A complete license plate recognition system is designed using YOLO technology based on license plate detection and LPRNet technology based on license plate recognition. The system adopts the CCPD (Chinese City Parking Dataset) of China's urban parking lots. Combined with YOLOv5 technology, by improving the LPRNet network model, the accuracy of license plate localization and recognition in CCPD dataset verification reaches 99% and 97.04%, respectively, indicating that the license plate recognition system designed in this paper has good stability and reliability in practical applications.
