Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors with Brain Metastases

Gist metastases are generally found in the liver and abdominal cavity, and metastases in the brain are extremely rare. So far only a few cases of GIST brain metastases have been reported. It is reported that sunitinib can penetrate the blood-brain barrier and has some effect in the treatment of brain metastases. This case describes the characteristics, therapy, and prognosis of a patient with wild-type GIST with brain metastasis and discusses and analyzes the diagnosis and treatment of this case.
