Often, we wish to investigate the effect of a factorFactor (independent variable) on a responseResponse (dependent variable). We then carry out an experiment where the levels of the factor are varied. Such experiments are known as single-factor experimentExperimentsingle factor. There are many designs available to carry out such experiment. The most popular ones are completely randomized design, randomized block design, Latin square design, and balanced incomplete block design.
