Design of an Intelligent Inspection Vehicle for the Track of a Suspended Permanent Magnet Maglev Train

In response to the imperfections in the measurement techniques for the geometric parameters of the beam in domestic suspended maglev railway systems, as well as the issue of multiple sources of measurement data for maglev rail inspection devices, this article proposes an intelligent inspection car system. This inspection car achieves three functions: (1) Remote control of the car’s movement through a relay WiFi module and address difficulties in manual inspection due to narrow spaces within the box beam. (2) Improve detection accuracy through the fusion of multiple sensors for distance measurement, utilizing box chart and Kalman filtering algorithms. (3) Apply wireless data transmission capability, remote inspection speed and direction adjustments through a WiFi wireless module. This inspection system provides fundamental data support for the safe operation of suspended maglev systems and holds significant practical value. It also certainly offers valuable references for inspections in various scenarios such as tunnels, mines and power systems.
