Research on Magnetic Levitation Bearing Three-Level Switching Power Amplifier

Magnetic levitation bearings are widely used in flywheel energy storage because of the advantages of frictionless and low mechanical loss. Its performance directly affects the control effect of the whole system. In order to reduce the switching frequency of the switching tubes while reducing the current ripple, this paper proposes a new three-level control, firstly, the error and direction signals are obtained by processing the control feedback signals through operational amplifiers and comparators, while the full-bridge topology is used to realize the on and off of the switching tubes by using digital logic devices. And When the direction signal remains unchanged (from left to right, for example), the lower right tube is kept in the on state, and the current rise and fall is controlled by adjusting the on and off of the left bridge arm switch tube. The simulation results show that the proposed switching amplifier can meet the requirement of following control signal.
