Research on Electromagnetic Force Characteristics Based on Asymmetric 120° Pitch Figure-8 Coils in EDS System for Maglev Train

摘要

Insufficient suspension force of superconducting electrodynamic suspension (EDS) system at low speed is an important problem in the construction of maglev trains. The structure of the figure-8 ground coil plays a crucial role in the performance of suspension and guidance. An asymmetric 120° pitch figure-8 coil used in the suspension system of maglev train is proposed. Compared with the symmetrical structure, the levitation force generated by the figure-8 coil of the asymmetric structure is greatly improved and the levitation force can reach twice as much as that of the symmetrical structure. Then the corresponding relationship between the train offset and the asymmetry of the figure-8 coil is proposed. Under this corresponding relationship, the structural change of the figure-8 coil reaches about 10%. Finally, the simulation model of suspension system of superconducting linear motor is established by using 3D finite element software to verify the validity of the calculated results.
