摘要

Power electronics technology enables energy conversion with high efficiency and high power density, and has found wide applications in various fields, including general industry, power system, electrified transportation, aerospace, and home appliances. However, due to the high-frequency switching actions of power devices, they produce high rates of change in voltage (dv/dt) and current (di/dt) in power converters. This, in turn, generates conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) that can affect both the grid and the equipments connected to the grid. In this chapter, the basic concept of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and EMI will be briefly introduced. The generation of the conducted EMI in power converters, including both the common-mode (CM) and differential-mode (DM) EMI, will also be presented. Additionally, the research status and key issues of the modeling, prediction and reduction of the conducted EMI in power converters will be reviewed.
