摘要
This chapter deals with continence mechanisms and its assessment, colonic polyps, and their optical diagnosis using advanced endoscopic imaging techniques. A brief outline of genetics in colorectal cancer and the pathogenesis of IBD has been included. Newer molecules used in the treatment of IBD and the role of immunotherapy in colorectal cancer have been discussed.
