A Comparative Study on the Dynamic Behavior of PMA-Based Wind Turbines Connected to the Electric Grid
摘要
Although there are many different simultaneous generators, the PMA is chosen to obtain its dynamic model. Since it can operate without a gearbox and doesn’t require rotor current, it is more effective and requires less support. Due to their minimal maintenance needs and appropriateness for offshore applications, permanent magnet alternators are expanding their market share in the wind turbine industry. The comparative analysis of a dynamic model for complete converter wind turbines using permanent magnet alternators is discussed in this research. The model presented here is a general, manufacturer-neutral model with no usage limitations. It is not proprietary in any way. The aerodynamics of the wind turbine, the mechanical drive system, the permanent magnet alternator, the power converters, and the controllers are all represented in great detail.
