Figure 7.1 shows a conceptual diagram of Fast Automated Demand Response (FastADR) for a group of multi-air-conditioning systems in a number of office buildings (7.1). FastADR is a relatively short-term energy service, such as negawatt, that compensates for temporary operating reserves with about five minutes of advance notice.
