Nanotechnology is a fast-developing discipline that has the potential to transform a variety of industries, including medical, energy, electronics, and materials research. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into nanotechnology has created a new area of research and innovation known as AI-nanotechnology. This integration has resulted in significant advancements in the field of nanotechnology, including the development of new materials and devices, improved characterization and analysis techniques, and more efficient and effective manufacturing processes. The purpose of this research study is to examine how artificial intelligence (AI) might affect the subject of nanotechnology. However, the complex and highly interdisciplinary nature of nanotechnology also poses significant challenges for researchers and engineers. Large volumes of data from imaging and spectroscopic techniques can be processed using machine learning algorithms, making it possible to analyze nanoscale structures and properties more quickly and effectively. In this paper, the current state of AI in nanotechnology and its applications in various areas are reviewed. We also discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with incorporating AI into the nanotechnology research and development process, including issues related to data quality, interpretability, and ethics. Finally, we provide a comprehensive overview of trends in AI and nanotechnology and their potential for collaboration. We highlight the potential for AI to enhance the speed, accuracy, and scalability of nanotechnology research, as well as its potential to drive new discoveries and innovations and has led to the discovery of novel nanomaterials with improved electrical, optical, and mechanical properties, and with unique functionalities for a range of applications, including energy storage, sensing, and biomedicine. Overall, this study finds that AI has the potential to play a significant role in the development of nanotechnology.
