Performance Evaluation of LiCi-2 Ultra-lightweight Block Cipher
摘要
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a revolutionary approach of attaching gadgets to the Internet in order to access services. There is a higher potential of eavesdropping because these devices might exchange sensitive information. An emerging field called lightweight encryption can protect these gadgets’ data from eavesdroppers. LiCi-2 is described as an uncertified, extremely resource-efficient cipher in literature. This study’s goal is to assess the encryption capabilities of the LiCi-2 cipher. The encryption algorithm's performance is measured in terms of throughput. The security level of LiCi-2 is determined using sensitivity tests and statistical analysis. The throughput is increased by using various data compression algorithms. Additionally, the performance and security of LiCi-2 are compared against three ultra-lightweight block ciphers known as PRESENT, LiCi, and ANU.
