Role of Empathy and Innovative Behavior of Bankers in Providing Credit to Entrepreneurs

摘要

An entrepreneurEntrepreneurs is one who sets up a new business unit and bears the risks with an expectation of making a profit. An entrepreneurEntrepreneurs needs money for setting up a business and for running the business unit. When an entrepreneurEntrepreneurs approaches a bank for seeking creditCredit, some CreditCredit Officers grant creditCredit while some others reject the same creditCredit proposal. This research paper is to find out if there is a role of EmpathyEmpathy and Innovative behaviorInnovative behaviour of bank officers in providing creditCredit to entrepreneursEntrepreneurs. The data has been analyzed using Crosstab analysis. Crosstab analysis has been used to find out if the low score or high score on EmpathyEmpathy and InnovationInnovation plays a role in differentiating the decision taken on creditCredit proposal. The results of the research indicate that a large majority of bank employees with a higher score on EmpathyEmpathy and InnovationInnovation have decided positively on providing creditCredit to entrepreneursEntrepreneurs while most of the bank employees with a low score on EmpathyEmpathy and InnovationInnovation have rejected the creditCredit proposal of entrepreneursEntrepreneurs.
