Software Technology Management Under Stochastic Environment

摘要

Software Technology plays a vital role in our day-to-day life. Hence it becomes important to manage software technology. One of the important aspects of software technology management is software reliability. Several software reliability growth models from different perspectives have been developed in the literature. Of late stochastic Differential Equation-based models have also been developed. In this paper, we focus on Stochastic Differential Equation-based models. There are mainly two kinds of models where the detection rate is stochastic, and others are models where the introduction rate is stochastic. They are fewer in number. In this paper, we concentrate on the later type. Initially, we review them, develop a more general one, and compare them with the existing one. The paper provides state-of-the-art modelling in software reliability using SDE. Several new models are particular cases of the proposed model are discussed in this paper. Numerical results are also provided, and it is found that the new model is more accurate. We have also discussed the significance of the proposed model in other fields of software technology.
