摘要

The popularity of intelligent and digitally interconnected systems, often known as Cyber Physical Systems (CPS), is growing. Engineering analysis methodologies must evolve to suit the requirements of such systems. It is therefore essential to align RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) studies with the requirements of such systems. One of the driving elements of CPS is Digital Twin (DT). Incorporating the DT with RAMS will revolutionize the way systems are designed and managed, leading to more efficient, reliable, and safer operations across various sectors. This paper initially examines the attributes of a DT from a RAMS perspective. It provides an overview of the potential disruption that DT could bring to current RAMS practices. Subsequently, it emphasizes the significance of DT in RAMS through a case study that explores a decentralized decision-making approach for selective maintenance planning based on DT.
