The Li of Lun

In the Chinese discourse, lunli should rather be interpreted as a compound concept with a subject-predicate structure consisting of two links: lun and li. Lun is the substance that is the same as the public essence of a person or an individual, and li is the principle, rule, and natural law of lun or its substance and is also about how the conscience and ability, which is acquired by the individual from lun, act on lun. In the words of Hegel’s philosophy, lunli is self-being, and li is self-doing, and the combination of the two is the lunli and its substance that is both self-being and self-doing. The li of lun is not only the Chinese discourse of li, but also the Chinese gene and Chinese cultural code of lunli.
