Improvement Effect and Mechanical Model of Submarine Silt Stabilized by GS Agent
摘要
With a rapid extension of economy into offshore, improvement of submarine silt has become a crucial problem in research. This research presents a new agent (named the GS agent, G and S stand for gypsum and slag, respectively) for stabilizing soft soil based on industrial solid wastes. The mechanical properties of the submarine silt sampled from Hongkong stabilized by GS agent and cement respectively were explored through indoor unconfined compression test. The results show that as compared with cement-stabilized soil, GS agent-stabilized soil had a higher early-age strength and faster growth rate. At the same binder content and age, agent-stabilized soil's unconfined compressive strength was at least 100% greater than that of the cement-stabilized soil. The stress–strain curve of the stabilized soil can be divided into three stages of hardening stage, softening stage and residual stage. An empirical method was proposed to describe the stress–strain curve and good agreements with the measured results were obtained.
