Key Technologies and Engineering Practice of Loess High Filling Engineering

摘要

The terrain, landforms, and geological environment of the loess hills and gullies area for high embankment engineering are complex. Large areas of collapsible loess and alluvial soil are often distributed on the site. Furthermore, it has the characteristics of large earthwork volume, multiple influencing factors, tight construction period, and high settlement control requirements. Based on existing engineering experience and literature, this paper analyzes and summarizes the main control factors in the high embankment engineering in the loess area. It also discusses the precautions and key points in the treatment of gully foundations, earthwork compaction and filling, slope protection, environmental water drainage, and construction quality control. By effectively combining multiple methods, the technical problems in the practice of loess high embankment engineering have been solved. Based on the analysis of field measurement data from a typical loess high embankment engineering project, the feasibility and rationality of a series of engineering measures have been verified. The key technologies can be referenced and borrowed for similar projects.
