A Case Study of Automatically Monitoring System Experiment for Landslide Within Tianfu New District in Chengdu

In this experiment, it is demonstrated how to set up an autonomous monitoring system for Quaternary silty clay landslides. The framework involves a configuration for a precipitation station, a displacement meter, a clinometer, and a wireless alarm. Using 4G wireless communication, steadily conveying surveillance data is achieved. Furthermore, analytical software is used to process monitoring data and display it in diagrams. As a result, the behavior of minor displacement and soil movement of the landslide can be identified for early warning. The relationship between soil displacement and precipitation is identified mathematically. Modern comprehensive monitoring data processing and analysis methods are probably considerably more effective than manual monitoring, and as a result, governments, universities, and businesses are paying more and more attention to them. However, this test activity reveals flaws in present technologies. Since several elements might cause a landslide to occur in a certain place, it is still difficult to pinpoint the threshold of rainfall for early warning.
