摘要

The main factors, both objective and subjective, which lead to a decrease in the accuracy of determining the preconsolidation pressure are considered. Factors are manifested at various stages of research, both in the preparation of the test and in the interpretation of the test. At the preparation stage, groups of factors are identified due to the quality of samples, equipment, and the choice of the test scheme. At the stage of interpretation, groups of factors are identified due to the choice of the method of graphical constructions (Casagrande, Becker, Pacheco Silva, Wang and Frost), the operator, computational methods, and decision-making. Ways to improve accuracy by choosing more gentle testing schemes and more precise methods of graphical constructions are proposed. Methods of minimizing the influence of subjective factors are proposed, primarily through the use of technical means and automation of routine activities of the operator performing test processing and interpretation of results.
