A Review on Cybersecurity Law and Management
摘要
The most pressing issue in this quickly developing digital world, where everything is interconnected by the Internet, is cybersecurity. The Internet has always had both benefits and drawbacks. The curse it brings will be highlighted and the main topic of this paper. Since we began using the Internet, cyberattacks have always been a problem for the people of India. As a result, the Information Technology Act 2000 (IT Act) was passed in India with the intention of establishing legal guidelines and addressing problems linked to cybercrime. However, the Act has developed some flaws over time that make it less effective at fending off cyber threats. This paper examines the weaknesses in the IT Act 2000 and how they affect cybersecurity. It identifies major areas where the Act falls short such as inadequate provisions for data protection, outdated definitions of cyber offenses and limited scope in addressing emerging cyber threats. Our aim is to provide the best possible protection and justice to all the victims of cybercrimes in India.
