摘要

A vast number of real world frameworks attempt to incorporate edge-fog-cloud architecture considering latency and computing intensive IoT applications. A health monitoring system requires the sensitivity of device latency. Various issues have been noticed during implementation of the mentioned architecture including security, resource management, and platform independence. This paper presents energy efficient blockchain-enabled three-tier architecture for monitoring elder patients. In this architecture, the medical data collected from physical unclonable function (PUF)-enabled sensor devices are prioritized by using an entropy algorithm and the prioritized tasks are offloaded to blockcahin-enabled fog nodes using Q-learning scheduling. Miner selection for secure medical transaction is done using energy efficient fuzzy system and the analyzed report is stored at Inter Planetary File System (IPFS). The performance analysis shows 70% reduction has been achieved in energy consumption and 40% reduction has made in end-to-end delay compared to other existing schemes.
