A Simple Analysis of the Development Motivation of Penetrating Air Suppression Operations

Focusing on strategic adjustments of competition among great powers, counteracting the growing “anti-access/area denial” capabilities of strategic opponents, and always ensuring the maintenance of air superiority, the US military has been vigorously promoting a new air combat concept of penetrating air suppression operations, developing a “system cluster” armament combat system, and strengthening the ability of long-range air infiltration attacks. This research is to sort out causes and consequences of the concept of penetrating air suppression operations, analyze the motivation behind the concept from its connotation, and provide theoretical support for effectively dealing with the new type of operations of this strong enemy.
